Its gastronomic restaurant, one star in the Michelin Guide, invites you to taste a subtle cuisine with perfumes and flavors from here and elsewhere in an atypical place: a spacious and luminous partly troglodyte room or during the fine weather our south-facing terrace overlooking the Loire.

Our troglodyte room to welcome you

A feast for the eyes! Our restaurant, just a stone’s throw from Amboise, welcomes you to our beautiful troglodyte dining room, L’Orangerie. This unique 120 m² room is 4 metres in height with a stone ceiling carved into the hillside. Its two bay windows with wide arched windows open onto the castle’s main courtyard, letting in natural daylight.

Chef Arnaud Philippon will cook you up a treat

Then comes the real feast! Chef Arnaud Philippon and his team will take you on a culinary journey that is sure to delight you! With a diploma in hospitality, Arnaud Philippon learned the ropes in Alsace at the Michelin-starred hotel Hostellerie du Rosenmeer. After a stint in Brittany, he spent 2 years in Brussels at the renowned restaurant Comme Chez Soi, with 2 Michelin stars, before joining Château de Pray in 2010. He assisted Frédéric Brisset before taking his place as head chef. Arnaud Philippon’s talent can be seen in his subtle, punchy and original cuisine.
